This project started as a way to open up conversations that usually happen behind closed doors. About money, power, governance, and how cricket actually works off the field.
This year confirmed something important. There is real appetite for that conversation. From players, fans, administrators, and people who care about the game beyond the scorecard.
The best part of this project hasn’t been writing. It’s been the replies. The disagreements. The “have you thought about this?” messages.
In the year ahead, we’ll go deeper. Media rights. Ownership models. Player protection. Governance. The uncomfortable but necessary stuff.
Today isn’t for analysis.
It’s for appreciation.
